Dr. Ewers is originally from Portland, Indiana. Her early interest in optometry led to two Associate of Science degrees in Optometric Technology and Opticianry at Indiana University. She continued on and received her Bachelor's degree at Indiana University, Bloomington and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the prestigious IU School of Optometry in 1995. While enrolled as a graduate student she was an Assistant Instructor for three years and Assistant Supervisor of interns and technicians in the Atwater Clinic Dispensary. Dr. Ewers was awarded Member of the Year by Alpha Phi Omega. Dr. Ewers has over 15 years in practice and 22 years in the optical field. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, Central Indiana Optometric Society and Sports Vision Section of the AOA. Her professional interests include medical optometric care, contact lenses and sports vision training. Dr. Ewers is excited to begin the next phase of her career providing medical optometric care and incorporating sports vision training at Ossip Optometry.
Dr. Amanda Dininger graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Joseph's College where she received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University, where she was a member of the Beta Kappa Sigma honor society. Growing up on the south side of Indianapolis, Dr. Dininger knew Greenwood would be a perfect fit when she starting seeing patients there in 2010. She loves the opportunity to see her patients year after year, and especially enjoys seeing entire families of patients and getting to know them on a personal level. Dr. Dininger specializes in many areas of optometry including pediatric care, contact lens fitting, refractive and cataract post operative care, dry eye, glaucoma and macular degeneration treatment. She is a member of the American Optometric Associate and Indiana Optometric Association. Outside of optometry, Dr. Dininger enjoys spending time with her two small children, Luke and Mollie as well as rooting on the Green Bay Packers. During the summer, she works part time for the Indy Car Series as a technical inspector.
Dr. Dirk Titus obtained his undergraduate degree and Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. After graduating in 1981, Dr. Titus entered the U.S. Navy where he served as an optometrist. He had the privilege of being the first optometrist to serve aboard a ship - the USNS Mercy, a hospital ship. The Mercy provided humanitarian healthcare to the Philippines, New Guinea and Fiji. Dr. Titus became a Golden Shellback when the ship crossed the equator and international date line simultaneously – an outstanding honor in the seafaring crowd. Leaving active duty, he practiced in Kokomo, IN before landing in Greenwood where he has resided for almost 30 years. Dr. Titus continued in the Naval Reserves achieving the rank of Commander before leaving to spend more time with his family.
Dr. Titus is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Indiana Optometric Association, the Central Indiana Optometric Society as well as the Fellowship of Christian Optometrist and the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. A member of the American Legion he continues to support our service members, past and present. Married to Denise, they have two adult daughters and are blessed with two grandsons. Traveling, good food with family and friends, and spoiling their grandsons is their passion. Both also enjoy being members of the Indycar medical team – quenching the need for speed.
