Dr. Nelson holds a Bachelor Degree in Biology from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the prestigious Indiana University School of Optometry. She is a candidate for membership in the American Academy of Optometry, was a member of Taylor University’s student chapter of the Lions Club and is currently a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists (FCO). She has made several trips to Central America to provide Eyecare to those in need. Dr. Nelson completed her residency in Primary Care/Ocular Disease at the VA system in Danville, IL where she specialized in diabetic eye disease, glaucoma management, and the treatment of other eye diseases. Dr. Nelson began practicing optometry in 2008 and began working for Ossip in September of 2009.
Dr. Happel received both his Bachelor’s Degree (1980) and Doctorate of Optometry (1982) from the prestigious Indiana University School of Optometry. He is a member of the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Happel entered private practice in Anderson in 1982 and was the first optometrist in Madison County to offer corneal topography and scanning laser ophthalmoscopy. In July of 2012 he merged his practice with the Ossip-Teeple office. Dr. Happel served on the board of the IU Optometry Alumni Association for several years and served as President of the association from 1987-1989. Dr. Happel is a charter member of the American Optometric Society. A resident of Anderson, he and his wife Kristen have two sons and a fleet of dachshunds. His non-optometry interests include computers and photography. Dr. Happel is currently President of the Killbuck Photo Guild of Madison County. He is also an active parent supporter of the Madison County first robotics team.
Dr. Millikan holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Optometry from Indiana University and attended the prestigious Indiana University School of Optometry where he received his Doctorate of Optometry in 1996. Dr. Millikan has been providing eye care services to Indianapolis and surrounding communities since 1996. He has a variety of sub-specialties in the field of Optometry including Pediatric and Vision Therapy, Pre/Post OP care for cataract and refractive surgery in addition to diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of Ocular Diseases. He also is CRT certified in fitting Ortho-Keratology which is a process that uses specially designed "GP" lenses to temporarily reshape the contour of the cornea to correct vision. His goal has always been to provide progressive ocular care to his patients and emphasizing ocular health, in diagnosis and treatment, along with coordinating with other medical professionals in order to optimize visual performance.
